Adaptive Yoga

Whether you’ve never stepped foot in a yoga studio before or you want a new experience, our instructors meet you where you are and strive to help you see the very best in yourself. We celebrate what you can do, rather than focusing on what you aren’t able to do yet. Our thoughtful instructors utilize their expertise to adapt and guide you through exactly what you need for a profound experience to truly connect with yourself.

While some yoga practitioners view the use of adaptive tools and props as something to be used until they are able to achieve poses without them, our philosophy is quite the opposite. When properly trained on the use of props and adaptive tools, yoga practitioners of all stages are able to consistently and safely access poses that might otherwise feel uncomfortable or unsafe. Using these tools to safely and comfortably access yoga as a wellness medium is an important part of our approach.

There is no competition or judgement at Simple Yoga Fitness. Our classes are designed for you to feel accepted and empowered for all you have to offer to yourself and those around you.

Be Your Favorite Self

Most of us are overly critical of ourselves and are constantly striving to be better versions of ourselves. What if we took a moment to find our favorite versions of ourselves? Maybe being better is actually being more of the person we love to be and not the person we expect ourselves to be. From mental to emotional to physical health, our classes are designed to provide you with the tools to walk out a bit more confident in showing up as your favorite self.

Our aim is for you to complete each class feeling more at peace with yourself and your place in this world. All of us were built to achieve wonderful things on this earth and most of us need a little boost to see ourselves as the hero of our own stories. Regular yoga practice at Simple Yoga Fitness will help you find your favorite version of yourself and give you the courage to embrace the goodness you have to offer.

  • I have had the opportunity to work with Pat Rhodes as a yoga instructor and as a a Pilates teacher. I find her to be excellent at both. Pat and I have practiced together for over 10 years. We did our Yoga teacher training together and I have been fortunate to take many of her classes. Pat has a friendly gentle teaching style. She takes time to get to know her clients and their needs. Over the time we have worked together, she has continued to learn and expand her abilities. She is able to structure her classes so that they are available to all levels. Pat’s long history of teaching dance gives her a unique perspective and skill set. She demonstrates great passion for her job and has a strong desire to continue learning. She was part of a team that developed and implemented a Core Pilates/Yoga sequence and has continued to teach Pilates with a Yoga twist. I encourage everyone to take her classes… you’ll be glad you did! Learn about Pat

  • I started practicing yoga in my early 50’s at the local gym. I passed thru several instructors ‘that just give a class’. A class without passion about the meaning of yoga until I signed up for Elisha's class. She is amazing!!!... period. She has the talent to transmit the essence of yoga in its full depth. I was engaged and feeling the benefits in my overall health, not just physical, but emotional as well since her first class. It really was a loss when she needed to relocate, but the transformation that she brought to my life it doesn’t have a price. I’m currently building my house and I have a room dedicated to the practice of yoga, a great habit that Elisha sowed in my life. Learn about Elisha

  • Shelbilee has such good energy that draws people to her. My experience with her yoga was relaxing and unique in a good way. I loved the way she taught and the vibes she gives. She eased into the yoga and once the session was done had a great story about planting positive seeds, which I thought was a great addition to the yoga practice. Afterwards she asked the class some questions to be truthful with ourselves and asked us to write them down on a paper and went more into detail about what was asked. And at the end of the class everybody had brought a small positive gift to exchange with one another. It was a great experience and I enjoy her teaching. Learn about Shelbilee
